Changing Access Codes

The site owner can change any access code that is associated with their security system.

Note:   You can change the master access code from the System tab's Devices page as well as the Access Codes page. For more information about changing the master access code from the Devices page, see "Changing the Security Panel Master Access Code".

To change an access code:

  1. As the site owner user, click the System tab, if it is not already displayed.

  2. Click Access Codes.

A list of access codes associated with your security system appears.

  3. Click Change Code next to the access code you want to change.

The Change Security Panel Access Code screen appears.

Note:   If you are changing the master access code, you see a variation of the Change Security Panel Access Code screen.

  4. In the Enter New (Access/Master) Code field, enter the desired access code. An access code is typically 4 digits, but can be up to 6 digits.
  5. In the Re-enter New (Access/Master) Code field, confirm the access code by re-entering it again.
  6. In the Password field, enter your password.

  7. Click Save.

The Access Codes list screen appears.

The access code change event is logged and appears on the System and Security Panel device sections of the History tab.
